WHO ARE WE? 

Evolution O.V.E.R.D.O.S.E. was established in 2006 as a way in which the students at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences (MCPHS) may share with neighboring universities, colleges, and local communities a time of celebration during Black History Month. The production team encompasses professional students with different concentrations and backgrounds but with the same appreciation for the arts and the same interest to create change in the community. We combine those two forces through this exceptional production that presents the arts in the Afro-Black culture. 

WHAT WE DO?  

We aim to use this show to entertain, to educate, and to further expose the charitable efforts of local organizations to our audience and provide each attendee the opportunity to directly support the work being done by them in underpriviledged communities. 

This comprehensive showcase offers our audience both entertainment and eduction on the Black diaspora. We like to refer to this production as "Pure Edu-tainment".  

HOW WE ACCOMPLISH THIS? 

We accomplish this through our showcase and collaboration with local non-profit organizations. Evolution O.V.E.R.D.O.S.E. showcase is broken down into four quarters; each with one of these four themes: Obtaining Vision, Embodying Righteousness, Defeating Opposition, & Spreading Equality. Each quarter opens with a documentary discussing the 4 categories of art (fashion, dance, vocal, instrumental) to soon be displayed on the stage. The documentary also highlights the historical icons and artists that help pave the way for that entertainment today. 

WHY DO WE DO THIS? 

....Because we care! We are passionate about maintaining an appreciation amongst our generation for the arts and acknowledging those predecessors who set the blueprint for today's entertainment. Additionally, we strongly believe that through the collective work of each collaborator, we better serve as agents of change. It is through the support of our vocalists, dancers, models, designers, partners, sponsors, and show-attendees this event and our goals is  made possible each year.
